Physical Therapy Adults

When do I need physical therapy and what are the modalities?

Physical therapy is a clinical approach to help you regain functional ability after injury and get back to the life you were supposed to live. Each Give Me 5 Therapy Center therapist is equipped with the skills, tools, and experience to not only promote injury healing and pain reduction, but also to identify other underlying physical deficiencies, such as weakness, flexibility, and stiffness of the legs. joints, to name a few, that may require a more specialized path to recovery.

Here at Give Me 5 we work with a holistic approach to healing, which means “treating the individual” rather than simply working with a diagnosis or a single part of the body. In this way, returning to normalcy of life means for our therapists: personalizing treatment plans to address the whole body. This approach goes far beyond standard physical therapy care and will allow you to move and perform optimally while preventing future injury.

Who can benefit from physical therapy?

Anyone who feels limited when participating in normal daily functions, exercise, or sports and recreational activities due to pain or other symptoms can benefit from physical therapy. An ideal candidate for PT is trying to achieve a functional goal and is motivated to actively work toward that goal.
